Florence was an accomplished seamstress and excelled in many handcrafts such as knitting, crochet, tatting and embroidery.
She was a natural born grandmother to her 14 grandchildren. She never seemed upset by any childish behavior and made staying at grandma's a treat to be cherished. No project was too messy, so her grandchildren sewed and baked and cut up catalogs to their hearts' content.
She was famous for her biscuits and quite adept at creating a great peach pie.
Florence realized a goal of being Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star in sometime in the 1960's.
